Reunion PlansDear Queens: Dust off your Queens of the Nile Nalgene bottle and get those old ASC T-shirts out from the bottom of your dresser drawer--it’s time to return to campus to celebrate our five year reunion! Save the date for the Class of 2005's Alumnae Weekend, April 16-17, 2010 and help us celebrate five years of post-ASC life. Alumnae weekend festivities will begin on Friday April 16th where we will celebrate at the Young Alumnae Wine & Cheese Reception and HUB Sing. Saturday morning will consist of a class meeting and group picture. This will also be the time where we have the opportunity to elect class officers. You can make nominations and find officer descriptions on this class website. On Saturday evening, our class party will take place where many Social Council events went down—the Alston HUB! It will be a Mexican Fiesta themed party, so prepare to celebrate like it’s midnight on the Sunday of Black Cat Week! In February, you will be receiving a brochure along with a letter from our reunion chairs, Kelly and Mindy, detailing the events and activities for the weekend. For now, you can begin to make your travel arrangements and lodging reservations. You can make reservations at the Decatur Holiday Inn ($109/night) or the Emory Conference Center Hotel ($129/night). Each hotel’s block of rooms is reserved under Agnes Scott College Alumnae Weekend and will only be available for a limited time. As you recall, both are convenient to campus and the Holiday Inn offers a free shuttle. To make reservations, contact the hotels directly at 800 448-2296 (Holiday Inn) or 800 933-6679 (Emory Conference Center). You will also be hearing a lot from your other class officers throughout the year. Hopefully, you already received a letter from our Fund Chair, Alice Hudson, encouraging you to give to the Annual Fund. In honor of our class reunion, please begin to think about giving to the college and even consider giving a “stretch” gift to show our class's continued support. You may have also recently heard from Bevin Gaines, our class Vice President. Bevin is currently working on collecting our “lost” classmates, so please take the time to check the list to see if you can help locate them. Finally, contact Ashley French about an opportunity to purchase a class directory during our reunion weekend. This is a chance to share pictures and information about yourself with your fellow classmates and will serve as a personal keepsake from our reunion. See you in April!
